Three-time U.S. Olympic swimmer Elizabeth Beisel delivers a powerful leadership message that every team athlete should hear.
Elizabeth is telling her story in support of Even Field Honors, a program that celebrates character and leadership-driven moments in school sports.
In partnership with the Rhode Island Interscholastic League, this Even Field® initiative shines a light on examples of character, courage, resilience, and principled leadership exhibited by student-athletes, coaches, game officials and others involved in the state’s high school and middle school sports.
Even Field is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that promotes character, life skills, and leadership through sports. We present real-life experiences from on and off the playing field to showcase character and positive peer leadership. Our goal is to inspire young people to make principled choices in sports and life.
We thank Elizabeth Beisel for sharing her story with us. She has embodied the Olympic ideal, representing her sport with integrity, grace, and humility. Countless numbers of young athletes have been inspired by her character, leadership, and relentless drive.
