Football For You: Lawrence, MA

Thoughts and photos from Football for You in Lawrence, MA on May 2, 2015.

This program shows parents and coaches that whether a child is participating in football, lacrosse, baseball or any other sport, it’s not just about winning, it’s the way the game is played. It’s about doing your job and being a good teammate. Did you do your best to help the team? It reminds us what’s important. It’s about the kids and making sure each and every child that participates is playing fairly and showing good sportsmanship. Even Field needs to get to every community.

I think it’s great in a very tangible way, especially for kids in this age group. By emphasizing good sportsmanship, and applauding effort and improvement, kids learn to be a good teammate and play the right way.
